Personal Insights for Inquiring Minds...
If I didn't work in public relations... I would produce TV documentaries for the History Channel or National Geographic.
If there were 8 days in a week... I would like to work out more, but would probably just end up working more.

Andrea Aker, Founder of Aker Ink
Andrea Aker founded Aker Ink in 2007 armed with an extensive background in public relations and journalism. Her newsroom experience has provided an invaluable edge when working with the press, and she leverages this media savvy to secure prime placements for her clients.
Before founding Aker Ink, Andrea served as the public relations director for a PR and marketing agency in Phoenix. She led successful PR campaigns at the local and national levels for B2B clients, garnering sought-after coverage and awareness in markets around the country. Prior to that, Andrea was a writer and producer for KPHO-TV, Phoenix’s CBS affiliate, where she produced top-rated newscasts for the morning and noon shows. She has nine additional years of experience as a freelance reporter for newspapers and magazines throughout Arizona including The Arizona Republic and the Arizona Daily Star.
Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona, and she earned her Master's of Mass Communication at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism with a specialization in online media. She graduated from her master's program with a 4.0-grade-average and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the National Honor Society of Journalism and Mass Communication. The top 10 percent of graduates nationally are inducted into the organization.
Community Involvement
Andrea is active in charitable and professional non-profits throughout the Phoenix area. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, where she chairs the technology committee. Andrea is also a member of the Grant Professionals Association and the speaker's bureau for Planned Parenthood of Arizona.
Andrea is a past member of the marketing committees for the Arizona chapter of the American Diabetes Association and the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
