5/7/10 Aker Ink Launches New Client Websites
Aker Ink is proud to announce the re-launch of two client websites: OptiScan and Veer Consulting.

OptiScan is a document scanning and management firm based in Phoenix. Its site was developed in partnership with Effusion Creative Solutions.

Veer Consulting is a Scottsdale-based firm that helps businesses streamline events and operations. Its site was developed in partnership with bekkerschmidt designwerks.

5/01/10 Aker Ink Lands $15,000 Grant for Arizona Non-profit
Aker Ink has helped the Phoenix Women's Sports Association (PWSA) acquire a $15,000 grant from the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA). This grant will enable PWSA to fund participation fees and equipment for six teams of underserved girls and boys at Supai Middle School in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The SLA grant marks the second grant Aker Ink has successfully landed for PWSA. Last year, Aker Ink wrote the proposal for a $25,000 grant that enabled the organization to fund a club sports volleyball team.

2/18/10 MediaStars Selects Aker Ink to Develop Branding Package
Phoenix-based MediaStars Worldwide, a talent representation firm for the media industry, has selected Aker Ink to develop a branding package consisting of business cards, communication collateral and promotional products. Additionally, Aker Ink will develop a similar package for the firm's media training arm, Entegy.

2/9/10 Veer Consulting Taps Aker Ink for PR Services
Scottsdale-based Veer Consulting, an event planning and management firm, has selected Aker Ink to assist with PR and online marketing efforts. Aker Ink will help the company raise its profile in the industry while establishing Owner Dave Ryder as an expert source in the media.

1/18/10 Aker Ink Adds to Team
Aker Ink President Andrea Aker is proud to announce the addition of three new team members:

  • Marilyn Hawkes, Grants Coordinator
    Marilyn is a journalist and community volunteer. She earned her master's
    of mass communication at Arizona State University's (ASU) Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and has received a certificate of completion from the Grant Training Center.
  • Reba McIntire, Executive Assistant
    Reba is a business sustainability student at ASU.
  • Ilse Inzunza, Public Relations Intern
    Ilse is a journalism senior at the Walter Cronkite School. She graduates in May 2010.
